I have stayed at the Feathers once before and generally been happy, although the rooms aren't air conditioned. They do have wifi in the hotel but it all comes down to what room you are in. Some rooms get very poor reception. The food is generally very good.
My room ran out of water, not just hot water. I mean completely, with no water coming out of the taps or shower. I was in the middle of shaving, which was a nuisance. They offered to move me to another room, but that was a hassle. I finished shaving using bottled water. The manager said they replaced their boilers and had tested the system but they clearly hadn't tested my room. They didn't offer a discount on either my dinner the night before or the room rate, and I didn't ask for one. It would have been a nice gesture. I won't go back.

The location was central, close to all prepared, and numerous bars and restaurants. Also, a Blenheim palace was 2 miles away from the hotel👍

Lovely hotel but staff did not seem to know much about the area or about the history of the hotel.
The rooms were a little too modern, which made them look cheap rather than classy. Should have stuck to earthy colours and traditional fixtures/fittings to match the hotel and area.

Brilliant range of continental and English breakfast in a nice setting. Really nice staff and good service. The room is better than the five star Randolph hotel in the Oxford city centre, and has a decent size en-suite bathroom.
A pot of green tea for two in the afternoon was £6.50 in the back garden, although we had the garden all to ourselves that afternoon. There was no lifts in the hotel but we did leave our baby's pram at the reception.

The room I booked was spacious with a renovated bathroom and had a window that opened onto a fire escape, and the breakfast I had was above average and well presented, making it a great value for the price.

Excellent position relative to Blenheim Palace and Oxford. Attentive staff and a first class restaurant.
Lack of air conditioning in higher level rooms. Hot air tended to rise up the stair well.

The hotel was perfectly clean with delightfully helpful and especially helpful staff on the reception desk. The breakfast was included, that was a bonus. Ideal location - only a short distance to everywhere we needed. We had goodies and coffee at Barefoot Bakery, it was located just walking distance from the venue. Truly enjoyed our stay in this property...
Parking lot was missed, we were a little disappointed.
